Jose Pedro Balmaceda Pascal, known professionally as Pedro Pascal, is a Chilean actor. He is best known for playing Javier Pena in the Netflix original series “Narcos,” The Mandolorian in the Disney television series “The Mandalorian,” and for playing Oberyn Martell in the hit series “Game of Thrones.” Pascal was born in Santiago, Chile, and while growing up, he moved to Denmark, and then also lived in Orange County, California, and San Antonio, Texas. Finding his love for acting, Pascal began studying acting at the Orange County School of the Arts before going on to graduate from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts as well. Pascal went on to make his television debut in an episode of “G vs E.” That same year, he also earned his biggest role yet playing Greg in the series “Undressed.” Since then, Pascal’s television credits have gone on to include “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” playing Nathan in “The Good Wife,” Omar in “Lights Out,” Jay in “Red Widow,” Agent Juan Badillo in “Graceland,” Agent Marcus Pike in “The Mentalist,” and more. Apart from his roles in television, Pascal has also been known for his roles in film which include “The Adjustment Bureau,” “The Great Wall,” “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” “The Equalizer 2,” and “Wonder Woman 1984.
